1. What are the orthotics made out of? The Vasyli Orthotic Laboratory (VOL) produces a custom molded semi-rigid orthotic consisting of ethylvinylacetate.
2. What is the glandular process? Professional Health Products obtains its glandulars (beef and pork) from U.S. government inspected processing plants where the glands are defatted and freeze dried. Residues or toxins, if occuring, reside in the fat, which is the reason why we defat the glands. Some of our glandular products come from New Zealand.
3. Are your products tested? Professional Health Products uses an independent laboratory in Edmonton, Labs-Mart, to conduct the following:
1. Certificate of Analysis
2. Microbial Testing
3. Disintegration
4. Uniformity of Dosage
5. Stability
6. Purity
Our product is stored in quarantine until we receive documented clearance from Labs-Mart that the product has passed the Certificate of Analysis, Disintegration and uniformity of dosage.
Regarding absorption of our product we use citrates, single trace elements, and high quality herbs to maximize bio availability.
Dr. Herman has utilized Hair Analysis testing for the past 20 years and discovered through experience that to increase absorption of trace elements they should be taken separately from other minerals due to competition on binding sites. Also, for example copper antagonizes zinc, therefore Dr. Herman recommends copper in the afternoon and zinc citrate at bedtime on an empty stomach to increase absorption. Another important factor in nutrient utilization is dosage recommendation. Many times the recommended dosage is not sufficient to balance the bodies nutrients. This is where the law of mass action comes into play which states that the higher the dosage against a gradient the more you will pass through the barrier.
This demonstrates that there is many facets to proper body utilization of nutraceutical products.
